This weekend in Los Angeles, California is the BET Awards weekend with the ceremony being held this Sunday evening. Leading up to the award show there are a litany of events but so far none can compare to Trap Karaoke. Putting together two of millennials favorite activities with turning up to Trap Music and signing along to karaoke prove to be a brilliant idea. Held at the Union in Downtown Los Angeles, immediately when you stepped into the venue it felt like a concert. The main headliner? No not a well known international superstar, even better, your friends who sing and rap along with you in the car can now prove their skills on a main stage with a live audience. The most roars from the crowd came when contestants matched their stage presence with the delivery of the song. From classic Jay Z hits, current radio bangers like Drake's '100', to lovey dovey R&B songs the crowd was in tune the entire time. A few surprise guest showed up like Rapper Yo Gotti who performed his recent hit 'Down In The DM'. The tap dancing duo Chloe & Maude Arnold did an incredible tap dance tribute to Prince, performing along to his indelible song 'When Doves Cry'. Actor and artist Mack Wilds even touched the stage and hung around for a while hyping up contestants, signing his song 'Own It', and yes dancing along to seminal club hits. Trap Karaoke was an unforgettable night and when it comes to your city next don't miss out! I mean, how many times will you be able to go up on a stage sing a Beyonce song and feel the love of the crowd? Go, have fun, turn up, and sign up for the time of your life.
