The 9th Annual Women Wealth Warriors Luncheon was held at the Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California and it couldn't be any more wonderful! The woman leading the day's festivities was Women Wealth Warrior Founder Tunisia Offray, who has an impressive resume of being an Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and amazingly does this all while being a single mother of four. Tunisia is also the founder of  the Shepard's Door - in conjunction with her mother Linda Offray-  a non profit organization assisting and supporting victims and survivors of Domestic Violence and is the owner of Prestige Insurance & Financial Services Inc.  I noticed in Tunisia she's composed yet she's been through a lot and her sharing her story throughout the Luncheon was a show of strength. She's confident enough to know that the pain and joy she's endured in her life can give hope to someone else.

Women Wealth Warriors is a platform Tunisia created for fellow boss women who have paved their own way with entrepreneurial endeavors and women owned businesses .What I found fascinating about the event was the amount of support for Tunisia as well as the atmosphere of Women Empowerment. It permeated the air and that warmth, that love was apparent from everyone in the room. It being Women's History Month Tunisia holds this Luncheon to empower and enrich the organizations that put women first & inspire all of those in attendance. The running themes were you are worthy, you are enough, and you have the resources & capabilities to build a successful business. Tunisia has created an organization in Women Wealth Warriors that emboldens women, giving them the motivation and the tools they need to follow their dreams and accomplish their goals.

Wearable Art Gala: Black Excellency, You Going Let Them See

Actor Richard Lawson, Jay-Z, Tina Lawson, Blue Ivy & Beyonce

Written By Evan L. Jackson
The Wearable Art Gala presented by The WACO Theater with the gracious hosts of Actor Richard Lawson and Tina Knowles was held at the Alexandria Hotel in Los Angeles, California. The theme was from Waco To Wakanda and I couldn't be more honored to be there. I was brought on to be the cameraman for Miss Conversation Piece Veronica Brown - a multi-talented Entertainment Host that has made some serious inrouds into the industry. I was mesmerized by the mere fact I would be covering such an event headlined by Beyonce and Jay Z. And it was even sweeter that Tina Lawson, Beyonce's Mom, would honor her with the Humanitarian Award and Jay Z would be honoring his mother Gloria Carter with the Everyday People Award. The The WACO Theater, an acronym for 'Where Art Can Occur', holds the Wearable Art Gala the same week as LA Fashion Week to raise awareness about the importace of the arts and to raise funds for those programs at their theater. Actor Richard Lawson and Tina Lawson are strong supporters and served as the hosts. When I was there at the event, timely enough, I thought of Jay Z's song "Legacy" the idea of Black Generational Wealth. Wealth not of only monetary gain but wealth of culture, wealth of compassion, and wealth of love. That is all possible with connecting with other Black ventures, businesses, and entrepreneurs to build an interconnecting world for all of us to win. Weather it's an example of the the Entertainment Host Veronica giving me a shot at being the cameraman for this incredible event, Blavity creating AfroTech- a hub for Black technolgy minds to come together, properly investing your money and seeing it grow, or simply putting your time back into the community. Legacy, Legacy, Legacy. What will they say about you once it's all said done? Go out there in the world and let them see.

The Beauty Meets Media Tour was presented by Entrepreneur & Model Miracle Watts in concert with Media Girls LA founder Mercedes. Taking place in Los Angeles,California this was a great event to see Black Women and Black business thrive and connect. During our interview Miracle Watts said she wanted to debunk the myth that Black women can't get along or that they can not work together. She shattered that stereotype with putting a mix of diverse women who served as Social Media influencers. From Model Bria Myles who has over a million followers to the highly touted Miss Diddy LA - hailing the title as the only woman promoter in Hollywood and head of the firm that connects the celebs to the best evens in the LA area, The Brand Group LA.

With many vendors in the building including 12AM and sponsors such as Ciroc it was a very well put together event. The content of the influencers were diverse as well. The main points that i got was: Be authentic with your brand, be consistent with your content, push your brand into areas where you see it fitting in long term, and doing an exchange of services - monetary or incentive based- in regard of you brand will help with boost your exposure. What was so profound about they day is when I asked the ladies of the panel what was their boldest move. So amazing! I got so many unexpected answers! As seen in the clip below, their insight and reflections on their boldest moves were a testament to their story. That leap of faith landed them in the positions they are at now. Smart and successful business woman imparting their wisdom on hopeful souls looking to follow on those same steps.

10th Anniversary Art Hearts Fashion Week

written by Evan Jackson

The Art Hearts Fashion Week  celebrated their 10th Anniversary at the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California. As the premiere fashion show leading up to LA Fashion Week, Art Hearts is decadent and exceeds extravagance. The venue of the Park Plaza Hotel with its Iconic red carpet stairs was the perfect place to have Art and Fashion come together.

Before you walk up the red carpet stairs, on both sides are display of previous fashion show gowns and among the vast hotel their was artwork and a fun stlye lounge where guests mingled before the next show. One of the best shows of the week was Dunyah. His fashion line was edgy,Hip Hop influenced, and made only for the confident to rock. His models emboddied that swag while top trap music serving as the soundtrack. I knew the line would be lit when Dunyah' show started with the lights totally off and you hear "Ride with the mob..." A$AP Ferg's "Plain Jane" has turned into an instant classic! The crowd felt the energy of the room and loved his designs.

As far as the guests their were plenty of celebrities there some in plain sight others just there to look at the art or take advantage of front row seats at one of the biggest fashion shows in LA. What was great to see there was the sisterly bond of The Holly Girlz - Amsara, Sanefer, Ariana- who are a group of singing sisters as well as an all encompasing brand. Assigned to do Social Media at Art Hearts Fashion you could of sworn they were everywhere. From Amsara doing interviews on the red carpet, live streaming Hale Bob designs, to meeting the designers behind the fashion lines. They move as fun and entertaing unit and you can please believe you can see them on the scene for a long time. The Art Hearts Fashion Week is a celebration of the Arts and the Fashion that is drawn from that very same medium. Here's to ten more years of artwork, exuberent fashion shows, and Art Hearts Fashion.
