HOUSE OF ESPN Debuts at NYFW With A Faboulous Celebaration Highlighting The Fashion Icons of The WNBA
written by Kelli Hunter & Evan L. Jackson
The women of the WNBA have showed us their best fashion this season so it only makes sense they connect with the world wide leader in sports ESPN! Coming together, they have created the first of its kind House Of ESPN New York Fashion Week experience hosted by the superstar talent Ciara. This event particularly highlighted the fashion icons of the WNBA who have revolutionized the look of the game with their style. With NYFW being the Mecca of the fashion world and being a global event this is a tailor made fit for the WNBA to have a space on this international platform. ESPN is the exclusive home of the WNBA Playoffs all the way through the Finals, which tipped off today.
Ciara looked incredibly fly on the red carpet as she talked with reporters about the evolution of her style. Actress Serayah, who can be seen starring in the upcoming Netflix film 'Ruth & Boaz', talked to our Young Bold and Regal Correspondent Maxine Cesar. "I really love this silhouette of a corporate baddie." Seraya said, speaking about her all white look with a touch of fur. We loved it!
A plethora of stars also walked the carpet and enjoy the festivities of the night such as Netflix star of Stranger Things, Priah Ferguson, actor Jayln Hall ("Till"), Emmy winning actress Storm Reid, and many more. Hand in hand with Serayah was Hip Hop artist Joey Bada$$. We at Young Bold And Regal hope to see more experiences and activations from the WNBA as we have seen first hand the growth of the sport and how much it impacts the culture. Tune into ESPN to watch the WNBA Playoffs and see you next year for the House of ESPN experience at New York Fashion Week.
