Actress Teyana Taylor has won Breakthrough Performance for 'A Thousand And One' at the Toronto Film Critics Association Awards! This critically acclaim film from filmmaker A.V. Rockwell & Lena Waithe's Hilman Grad productions made its debut at Sundance Film Festival In January of this year. I spoke with Teyana a few weeks after Sundance, where she said what makes her regal was "motherhood". Which is also a theme in the film "A Thousand And One" where a latchkey kid in the neighborhood is  raised by Teyana Taylor's character, who treats him as her own. Garnering worldwide acclaim for her performance Teyana Taylor is nominated for a Film Independent Spirit Award for "Best Lead Performance" for this very same role!
