On May 21st residents of Pasadena, California gathered together and volunteered their time to join in on the 1st Annual Neighborhood Community Service Day. The event was organized by Realtor Barbara Richardson King who finds green conscious homes for families and residents of the San Gabriel Valley area in Southern California. Many people from the area showed up and pitched in such as first district Pasadena City Council Member Tyron Hampton, the John Muir High School Pep Squad, members of the Friendship Baptist Church of Pasadena, students from Pasadena High School and Chandler School. They spent their time cleaning up, planting, and gardening lawns and backyards of three homes. It was great to see teenagers to adults, highschoolers to professionals, and government officials to the everyday man coalescing for a great cause.
