Released on the same weekend, these two marquee films were marketed as a great double feature and dubbed “Barbenhemier”. As a two tentpole event. One from Warner Bros. directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie as the iconic Barbie. The other a look at the man behind the atomic bomb, Robert J. Oppenheimer and the devastating effects on his personal life, directed by blockbuster filmmaker Christopher Nolan with Cillian Murphy portraying Oppenheimer with a slew of other all star actors and actresses. The two film together have created a true cultural phenomenon. Supported by meme culture, critical acclaim, memorable social media moments that spur those to see both films and of course big numbers at the theaters. With both films  

generating over $1 billion globally in just 10 days at the box office. Barbie has earned over $750 million worldwide at the box office, on its way to a billion. Oppenheimer has earned over $400 million at the box office.
