Most Anticipated Films At The Sundance Film Festival

Sundance Film Festival is set to commence January 23rd through February 3rd,2025. An exciting slate of films are set to be premiered and these are our most anticipated films we want to watch!

Stephen James is a terrific actor and he takes on a challenging role of being a former inmate trying to get his life on track. What drew me to this role is of course Stephen who was amazing in the Jesse Owens biopic but also the subject matter. The Hip Hop icon Nas called adulthood “second adolescence” and I’m interested to see the character of Ricky navigates through this film to see how entertaining it is but also the hardships
Selena is iconic and forever remember & associated with 90’s lore. What entices me about this documentary is that her family is throughly involved in it. Seeing her life through the lens of the ones closest to her will give the audience an idea of the Selena the person not only the superstar.
Rebuild I feel will be another breakout role for Josh O’Connor. Josh, since his Emmy winning role as King Charles in The Crown seems to have a great relationship with independent films. As a stoic father rebuilding his life with his daughter after a natural disaster it will be fascinating to see him take on this role. Their is almost child like aura to all of his performances but the recent ‘La Chimera’ had him play more to his age and now with this role to see him as a leader through a tumultuous time should be interesting.
If I Had Legs I'd Kick You can be a star turning moment for Rose Bryne. She could be heralded as the queen of the comedy films and shows the past 15 years but that does not mean she can’t do dramatic roles. Rose being a a down on her luck, straight drama is the juicy role she’s been waiting for and I’ve been anticipating. With a dash of A$AP Rocky the billing of this already interest me and add in the log line and I’m sold!
